Fall in love with the animals at farm sanctuary
If you are an animal lover, you will feel right at home in the Finger Lakes. One of only three official Farm Sanctuary properties in the country is right here in Schuyler County, where rescued farm animals are taken to their forever home. This 175-acre sanctuary, located a short drive west of Watkins Glen, is home to more than 800 farm animals including cows, pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens and roosters, horses, goats, and more. You can even stay on-site in one of their cabins or tiny houses!
During the season, visitors can tour the farm and visit with the animals, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills. Spend the day and take an hour-long guided tour, browse the unique gift shop, learn more about farm animals in their Visitor Center, or enjoy a snack on their scenic deck.
